Dave was not the least expensive nor the most, but gave the most professional bid and was excellent at staying in contact with me throughout the entire process. I felt the most confident with Dave getting the job done correctly, which was to repair a leaking roof that had been an issue over many years with many attempts prior at solving a perpetual problem. Just as a side note…we attempted to get 6 bids, 3 people didn’t bother to show, 1 acted as if they didn’t want to even be there, and then submitted a bid $7000 above the other bids, and 2 bids that were seriously considered. Dave came out and gave us an estimate of $1990 for the repair, then actually reduced the price after completing the job to $1400 because he said the fix was easier than initially planned. That was a very appreciated reduction in price, and we are very happy with the work Dave did. I would recommend if you are getting some roof work done you at least give Dave Rutter a call to look at your project.
They removed all the shingles and replaced the boards. They gave me a good deal and insulated the roof as well. They were responsive and did a great job. It’s a family business and I got to meet both the father and son. I like their services and will use the same in future.
After many years of neglect I wanted to get the rear porch roof replaced as it had many patch jobs by previous owners. The roof had significant water damage to the lower decking near the gutter. I contacted Rutter through Angie’s List and Dave Rutter responded promptly the next day to set up an appointment. A few days later I had an estimate via email. After a couple months of collecting bids and dealing with a few unproffesional contractors I chose Rutter. Rutter was not the highest or lowest bid, but I ultimately chose them because of Dave’s prompt response and ease of communication. The scheduling of the job was tricky due to many days of rain during the prior months. Once they were able to get to the job, it was completed in one day. The crew did a nice job and left my yard and porch as clean as it was prior to the work. The new roof, gutter, downspout and soffitt look good and I’m pleased with the quality of their work.
They did a good job and we would recommend them. We didn’t look around a whole lot and they sounded decent. We didn’t do a whole lot of comparison shopping. We would use them again.
Cory Rutter and his team did an outstanding job. They were punctual, arrived as agreed and completed our 4800 sq ft roof in a total of three days. There was a problem with one of the skylights and they came right out and corrected it as soon as we called. Overall I would give them my highest recommendation to anyone who wants a beautiful professional job at a very reasonable price.
My roof started leaking in early December. I called a couple of roofing companies on Angie’s list and was very impressed with the reviews for Rutter. The start of the job took a little while but I understand roofers have no control over the weather. They brought a large crew and were able to finish the job in one day. Rutter cleaned up all of the debris and Andrew performed an inspection with me after the job was completed.
We solicited 3 bids and Rutter roofing was the best by far even including another ‘A’ rated local contractor. They assigned a very professional college educated project manager from the start. They went on the roof, took pictures and included all of this information with the bid. They were very punctual and professional.
They are very efficient. They are very clean and respectful. Their work is great and it looks really nice. The job went fantastic.
